In the launcher, go to Setting > Add > Add game and launcher to Windows firewall exceptions. Given I'm not much of a tech wiz, I have no idea what this all means to be honest. Seems that Windows 7 forgot the firewall rule exception for WoWslauncher. 06:26:19 Sending message: protocol=1 type=sync key=wows locUid=8FF2E947107C8642AF2FDFC7AF2FDFC7E4DD07BF update=disabled(1) install_timeout=14400 check_timeout=1800 first_check_timeout=1800 force_op_timeout=0 pid=1204 mode= title= root=E:\Games\World_of_Warships upgraded=0 06:26:19 Auto update settings: disabled(1) display(1) check period: 1800 sec install period: 14400 sec 06:26:19 Process configuration file: 'E:\Games\World_of_Warships\WoWsLauncher.cfg' 06:26:18 Processing CLI request with protocol 1 06:26:18 Start "WargamingGameUpdater.exe" params="-protocol 1 -command sync -caller_pid 1204" No such luck, so I decided to pull the log. "Critical error, unable to install updates, the application cannot continue, for details see log file.", I thought maybe it was a random thing, so I exited the launcher and tried again. I've downloaded the file but I encountered an error when the client was updating the game components I guess. I was just coming back from a long break of playing this game and I decided to update to the latest patch and have a go at it.
